St. Francis of Assisi

Description

Is called the little poor man of Assisi. He was born in the year 1182 in the town of Assisi in Italy. His father was a very wealthy merchant of Assisi. Francis was very joyful, soft-hearted and loving by nature, so he had many friends, he astounded and inspired the Church by taking the gospel literally—not in a narrow fundamentalist sense, but by actually following all that Jesus said and did, joyfully, without limit and without a mite of self-importance. One of his famous sayings  is ‘’ If God can work through me, he can work through anyone.’’
